schools for the future 2010-2012

Welcome ! We are teachers from England, Iceland, Norway, Poland and Wales trying to learn more, be better teachers, enjoy our professional lives. After two years of our Comenius project EYE TO EYE and HEART to HEART we decided to do something new. Estonian school isn't with us any more but we have a new wonderful team from Iceland. Here we are going to communicate and display our work connected with Comenius project Schools for the future 2010-2012.Let's start the ball rolling

Teacher training

What has changed in our schools since we entered Comenius?
We have tried out many things and ideas from the schools we have visited.Some good ideas have been implemented in our teaching, and will be a part of our teaching in the future.

One good example is storytelling: From Wales we had good ideas on how to work with language through storytelling. ADS inWales inspired us by working with Pie Corbetts ideas. Link to Pie Corbetts' work. This is what we saw in ADS:

Our teachers found these ideas very helpful in teaching English to young children.
